What is considered a safe level of drinking?

Heavy drinking is generally defined as more than 7 standard drinks per week for women or more than 14 standard drinks per week for men. A standard drink is one and half ounces of hard liquor, 5 ounces of wine or 12 ounces of beer.  Chart of Standard Drink Equivalents
